HO Turbine Flowmeters
Hoffer Flow Controls, Inc. Elizabeth City, North Carolina, was selected to supply critical cooling flow measurement systems for the new lead ship of the DDG-1000 class, the USS Zumwalt. These unusual-looking ships are newly designed, bigger, lighter, deadlier, and stealthier than any destroyer ever built.
Hoffer’s flow solution includes critical cooling flow measurement systems, consisting of 4” HO turbine flowmeters paired with Hoffer CAT3 electronics. Their job is to measure chilled water for critical cooling systems onboard ships. The flow measurement system provides linearity of +/-0.1% of reading and meets MIL requirements for shock and vibration.
Hoffer Flow Controls has a long history of providing high-quality, highly accurate turbine flow meter systems to the Navy and other USA defense and aerospace industries. For more information, please contact us.
About Hoffer Flow Controls
Hoffer Flow Controls has been designing and manufacturing quality liquid turbine flowmeters and related process instrumentation for more than fifty years. Our initial experience was in the field of cryogenic flow measurement. Today our reputation in this field is synonymous with quality. Today Hoffer Flow Controls manufactures high-precision turbine flowmeters to measure clean liquids and gases throughout the processing industries. HO turbine flowmeters from Hoffer Flow Controls
Hoffer Turbine Flowmeters are available in a broad range of standard and special materials. The wide range of construction options allows for selecting the optimum combination of useful range, corrosion resistance, and operating life for a particular application. A low mass rotor design allows for a rapid dynamic response which permits the turbine flowmeter to be used in pulsating flow applications.
