With the space industry being so active at this time we want to share information on a customized turbine flow meter we designed and manufactured for Stennis Space Center. The flow meter, used for rocket engine testing, includes a “housing” with 12” Grayloc®, flanged end connections to accommodate working pressures up to 8,500 PSI. Two flow meter pickup coils are included for redundancy. The meter “internals” support a flow range of 540 to 5,500 GPM. Service fuel is RP-1 rocket fuel.
